FAQs
How is this different than traditional Talk therapy?
Unlike talk-therapy, coaching is meant to improve your life by moving you forward. While venting and giving voice to your emotions is important, coaching offers tangible tools on how to move through those emotions.
I’ve been in therapy for years. do i really need a life coach?
Coaching is a beautiful way to build upon what you have already learned in therapy. I often hear from my clients that the work we do together helped them connect the dots that they came to know while in therapy.
I don’t have any experience with personal development. Is this for me?
If you are someone who is ready to make changes in your life, to be open and vulnerable, and to be held accountable, then yes, coaching is for you.
I have a lot of trauma from my past. do i have to relive that trauma to work with you?
Absolutely not. Being trained in Trauma-Sensitive Counseling, I understand what reliving your trauma can do to your nervous system. Our process will be gentle and respectful to your nervous system.
what is inner-child work?
Although you may be an adult now, the part of you that used to be a child, is still within you. All parts of yourself leading up to now are still engrained into your being. Speaking from a neurological standpoint, our brain chemistry and neural pathways are formed from a young age and ultimately effect our reactions, decisions, and ways of thinking. Going back to our younger selves and understanding our experience is essential to moving forward with the life we want to live.
